| Abstract | This document presents a statement indicating to those who are or may become engaged in drafting collective bargaining contracts in higher education institutions the major substance of current contracts. Accordingly, a series of tables are laid out showing by major topics the type and range of items found in the pool of 101 contracts, the frequency and percentage of their occurrence totally and by the agency representing the faculty, and by 3 types of institutions - community colleges, colleges and universities. Chapters specifically cover contract management, governance, academic grievances, leave benefits, insurance benefits, compensation benefits, working condition benefits, general contracts, and an outline for creating a collective bargaining contract.
